FORMIDABLE LIGHTING
Art Light by Esseline Keeven
Particularly shaped lamps that were created by applying a new technique; recycled plastic is printed on textile by
a robot arm.
Handmade designs of Esseline are applied to textile using 3D printing technology. Hot plastic attaches themselves
to the textile during this process.
The combination of these materials causes a tension that leads to beautiful organic forms.

Besides innovative art lamps, I also create abstract paintings. I'm a versatile artist who experiments with new materials and techniques, such as working with epoxy, plaster, and natural color pigments.
I began my artistic career creating large abstract expressionist artworks set to music. In recent years, I've been working on new work in my studio on Voorstraat in Dordrecht.
My new work explores the structures and patterns you also see in my light objects. I abstractly translate the layers of nature into my work. An exciting and balanced color composition is essential.
My challenge is to make my own paint from natural resources in our own environment. I do this using plants, crops, and flowers, and it's wonderfully sustainable.
This summer I showed my art and lighting at the art show in a beautiful barn in Brijdorpe, which was a great success.
My work will be on display at the Van der Valk Hotel in Molenhoek until November 2025. Feel free to come take a look.

Pure nature
Gelet op de vreselijke gebeurtenis die in de wereld gebeuren op het gebied van rassenhaat lijkt de beeldtaal van deze schilderijen een passend antwoord. Het is een symbiose van de huidskleuren en religies die een gezicht van vrede vormen. Veel kleurigheid en verschillen in godsdienstige opvattingen zijn ingrediënten waar we met z’n allen rijker van kunnen worden.
